Businesses in the West Midlands started their festive celebrations with a bang, putting their knowledge to the test and raising more than £2,000 for community causes.

The Foundation hosted its first Christmas quiz at PSA (Peugeot) Group’s headquarters in Coventry, with 13 teams going head-to-head for the title of champions.

‘Make Christmas Great Again’, made up of eggheads from PSA Group, came away victorious with a winning score of 97.

The event was sponsored by Quilter Cheviot and there were some fantastic prizes on offer thanks to generous donations from some of our trustees, Coventry City Football Club, Wasps, Coventry Blaze, Coombe Abbey, Harrison Beale & Owen, Brooks Macdonald, Creative Stays, mac birmingham, Drayton Manor and Worcester Races.

More than £2,200 was raised on the night, through ticket sales, a raffle, ‘higher or lower’ and a coin toss game.

Foundation Chief Executive, Tina Costello said: “It was a wonderful evening and a great success, with a really good amount raised that will go towards supporting local causes in our area.

“There was a great buzz in the room throughout the event, everyone came along in their festive jumpers and definitely got into the Christmas spirit.

“It was fantastic to see so many of our supporters in one room and the perfect opportunity to further raise our profile in the region, so we can continue to support even more community causes.”

The Foundation would like to thank everyone who supported the evening and all those that attended.

For those that enjoyed themselves, or even those that missed out, we’ll be hosting another quiz in April 2018!
