The Foundation and the team at Make Good Grow will kick start the 2021 festive season by launching the Christmas Count-Up campaign to match 24 local Good Causes with 24 skilled volunteers (Passioneers) to support the organisations in delivering a range of time-boxed projects.
Joining forces with Make Good Grow, the campaign will run from the 1st – 24th December, taking in International Volunteer’s Day (5th December) and UK’s Charity Week (6th – 10th December).
The organisation is asking Good Causes across the region to sign up to the platform and post a project that they need help with – from marketing, accountancy, digital, fundraising and event management to community engagement, corporate fundraising and copywriting. The Christmas Count-Up campaign, which is like a ‘give-back advent calendar’, is also encouraging skilled volunteers to sign up as a Passioneer and spread a little cheer this year by donating their skills to help others.
Rob Langley-Swain, Make Good Grow’s Managing Director explains:
“Christmas is a time for giving – there really is no better time for those across the West Midlands and Warwickshire to support Good Causes. Our aim of matching a Good Cause with a Passioneer a day for 24 days is ambitious, but we will match even more if we can! The projects can be anything from a logo design or social media audit to a fundraising event plan or accountancy help – and everything in between.
“Passioneers don’t have to complete the projects before Christmas, they simply have to match with a project with a promise to complete it in a timely fashion in 2022. What better way to celebrate the festive season and start the New Year than giving back to those organisations that need our help the most?!”
Tina Costello, CEO at the Foundation, says:
“We’re excited to be partnering with Make Good Grow on their Christmas Count-Up campaign. We have seen first-hand the impact that Make Good Grow and Passioneers have had on Good Causes across the region through a number of successful projects.
“This campaign is a fantastic way to extend our support to the incredible organisation’s we’ve already funded by matching them with skilled volunteers. Sharing your skills to an organisation that need them is such an impactful, yet simple, thing to do and it will be great to see so many Good Causes benefiting from this fun, festive campaign.”
