Heart of England Community Foundation understands the impact that the Coronavirus has, and will continue to have, on communities; personally, financially and in their capacity to be able to support their most vulnerable members.
The Foundation, and its donors, came together in 2020 to provide a response to the growing emergency. We are keen to make sure that the organisations helping those most affected get the support that they need, so have re-launched the Coronavirus Resilience Fund.
We are opening the fund to constituted groups who are providing, but not limited to the following services:
- Food banks or social eating projects
- Delivery of emergency food/medicine parcels to those isolated due to the virus
- Street Pastors or those engaging in outreach activities
- Befriending services supporting the elderly or vulnerable through isolation
BUT WE WANT TO HEAR HOW YOU PROPOSE TO RESPOND.
THIS FUND IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO ORGANISATIONS IN BIRMINGHAM, SOLIHULL, COVENTRY, WARWICKSHIRE AND THE BLACK COUNTRY.
IF YOUR ORGANISATION HAS RECENTLY RECEIVED FUNDING FOR SOMETHING SIMILAR THEN PLEASE PROVIDE EVIDENCE FOR THE EXTRA DEMAND.
MAXIMUM GRANT SIZE: £5,000
Unfortunately, we will not fund schools or statutory providers i.e. local authorities.
The income limit for this programme is £250,000. We want to ensure that our money goes to small, grassroots groups that find it difficult to access funding and have fewer internal resources. However, we recognise that some valuable work may be going on by groups whose income is higher than this. So, if you are over this income threshold, please show in your application the exceptional impact the funding will make and the panel will consider your application.
Please read our Essential Information before applying.
