Events & Communications Officer

£20,000 – £25,000
Head Office, Torrington Avenue, Tile Hill, Coventry.
37.5hrs – Permanent

Background

The Heart of England Community Foundation is a grant making charity. We work with philanthropists, businesses and trusts to distribute funding to local organisations, creating thriving communities across Birmingham, Solihull, the Black Country, Coventry and Warwickshire. In the last twelve months, we have distributed over £1.6 million to not-for-profit organisations in the West Midlands.

93% of charities in the UK have an income of under £500,000 and 80% of charities have an income of under £100,000. These are the organisations we champion. Through us, our donors discover incredible and often life-changing work being done right on their doorstep by community organisations that they would never have found without us.

We’re looking for a talented and ambitious Events and Communications Officer to play a leading role in the next phase of our charity’s development. We’re seeking someone who can communicate effectively with our audiences to raise the profile of our work. You will play a fundamental role in the delivery of our marketing and communications strategy by designing content for print and digital communications, including social media. You will liaise with our PR agency to raise the profile of the foundation across the West Midlands and showcase the great work done by the community groups we fund. You will lead on delivering an engaging and ambitious events programme; creating opportunities for potential ambassadors and donors to find out about the impact our charity has across the region.

Working within a small team, you will be passionate about the third sector and about making a difference in our local communities. You will combine a creative edge with excellent attention-to-detail.

We are a friendly, hardworking team looking for someone who will proactively put forward ideas and identify opportunities to help the charity grow.

If you like the sound of us and the role, and think that you have the right skills and experience, then we would love to hear from you.
